Impact of pandemic crisis on a fragile system. Italy amidst organisational resilience and change management challenges

The coronavirus crisis has affected the various areas of the world with varying vehemence, having a more significant impact on certain economic and social systems more fragile due to various factors. The pandemic also seems to have provoked significant organizational disruptions and to have pushed in the direction of technological, organizational, and cultural change requiring strategic and operational interventions. The paper deals with the period of pandemic crisis experienced by Italy - a country that has faced singular tests of resilience and change management challenges. The country has, therefore, unexpectedly risen to an exemplary role, among the states, for the management, considered by many to be extraordinary, of the first emergency phase. Thanks to dormant values recovery and the ethical dimension rediscovery, it seems that Italy post fata resurgat and, stronger and more confident, can project itself into the 'post-pandemic' era, casting its gaze beyond the recent obstacles.
