In the contemporary corporate landscape, the pursuit of operational excellence represents a fundamental strategic objective. In this context, Total Quality Management (TQM) can be defined as a holistic management philosophy aimed at achieving continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. The implementation of TQM requires meticulous consideration of human and environmental factors and involves structured approaches such as rigorous project management. This article explores the deep and indissoluble link between Human Resource Management (HRM) and Total Quality Management (TQM), demonstrating that HR practices are essential to the success of any total quality initiative. A critical literature review was conducted, which facilitated the development of a theoretical model for integrated business excellence. This model is based on the synergistic relationship among TQM, Green Management (GM), and HRM – a relationship that is fundamental to long-term value creation. The model is proposed here for subsequent empirical investigation.
